Completed a $40 million renovation
on the famed Biltmore Hotel which enjoys the reputation as one of the
most recognized premier hotels in the United States. Built in 1923 the 11 story
Spanish Italian structure lovingly encloses 707 luxurious appointed guest rooms
and suites, five extraordinary ballrooms, several elegant conference spaces,
grandiose restaurants and a Roman spa like swimming pool all steeped in the
history of a by gone era. Concierge services, spa/health club facilities and
business services are offered in the old-world charm of great European hotels.
The breathtaking cathedral like ceilings, hand painted by Italian artist
Giovanni Smeraidi of Vatican and White House fame, have provided the overall
grand setting for generations of guests ranging from presidents and kings to
many of America's most honored celebrities.
Well known and used extensively by the movie
industry, the Biltmore hosted the founding banquet for the Academy of Motion
Picture Arts and Sciences and the concept and design for the Oscar statuette was
sketched here on a dinner napkin. Under Mr. Bullis's watchful eye the
Biltmore was brought back to its "Days of Glory" and once again became
the jewel of the entertainment community.
